Reviews
We were camping in the area, noticed this restaurant while getting some gas Friday night. Walked in around 7:00 on a Saturday night. Greeter found us a table. Super cool old barn, original stonework. Looked clean, dress was casual. Amanda our waitress was helpful and kind, quick in all phases of the meal w/o feeling any rush. Food was hot, fresh and not off the gfs truck. Mushroom appetizer was much better quality than expected, big mushrooms, cooked well. Entrees were super generous and tasty, side options are plentiful, garlic mashed and cole slaw (kinda spicy but good) . Dessert had about 3 options we stopped listening when Amanda said peanut butter pie . A beer,an appetizer 2 sandwich dinners and dessert out the door for $40.00!!! Standard fare at reasonable prices, in a unique cool space served by a kind face, what more can you want.
I love Lock 24. I have been there twice now. I've had a burger and some fresh cut fries which was wonderful. The second time I went I ordered the Tuscan Chicken in a wine sauce, this dinner was also fantastic. The only reason why I'm giving this review 4 stars is because I was clearly served a one to two day old baked potato that was definitely microwaved. Potatoes are not that big of a food cost so just please for the love of all things holy, do not give old baked potatoes to your guest if you don't have them just say you are out! I'll will be more than happy to pick another quality side of the menu. I'll even pay another 50 cents for a fresh baked potato.
I am new to the area and I am sorta a foodie. I am moving to the area to take a position as a local pastor. One of the Members in the church, Point of Mercy, recommended that I come here. The ambiance was great. The food was great. My porterhouse was cooked to perfection (medium). I will certainly be returning to try other menu items.
Very good burgers and calamari but all the dishes seemed crafted well and with plenty of flavor. Only open 2-10pm but a great hidden treat. I live about 15 miles away but love coming out. The restaurant has great atmosphere and seems a bit upscale but prices are reasonable and the staff are professional, well-mannered and accommodating. Every visit so far has been flawless. Great job! :)
Really neat old barn that was converted into this restaurant. We arrived on a Saturday at about 11:30 and the place was not very busy which was a concern but it turns out we just missed the crowd. The service was a little slow but not terrible and our waitress commented that they're not used to being this busy. It was worth the wait. The food was hot and delicious. My party of 5 all hot burgers. I got the steakhouse and loved it. The French onion soup is called something different like Lockhouse soup, and was really very good and had a unique touch of onion rings on top!!
